BurnGuard collects the following information to provide our service:

• Account information: Email address (optional) provided during registration.
• Usage metrics: Token counts, model types, cost calculations, and session metadata sent by the BurnGuard agent from your machine.
• Technical data: API request logs, IP addresses, and timestamps for security and debugging purposes.

2. How We Use Your Information

• To provide and maintain the BurnGuard dashboard and monitoring service.
• To calculate costs and generate usage analytics for your account.
• To send budget alerts and notifications you have configured.
• To improve our service and develop new features.

3. Data We Do NOT Collect

BurnGuard does not collect, store, or transmit:

• The content of your AI conversations or prompts.
• Your source code or project files.
• Your AI provider API keys.

Only token counts and cost metadata are transmitted. Your actual conversation content never leaves your machine.

4. Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored on Cloudflare's global network using D1 (SQLite) databases. All data is encrypted in transit via TLS. API keys are generated using cryptographically secure random values.

5. Data Retention

Data retention varies by plan: Free tier retains 7 days of history, Pro retains 90 days, and Team retains 90 days. You may request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time.

6. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services:

• Cloudflare: Hosting and CDN.
• Stripe: Payment processing (Pro and Team plans).
• Plausible: Privacy-focused, cookie-free analytics.
